Being tied isn’t passive - it’s a skillset!
This 2-hour workshop introduces foundational tools for anyone curious about rope bottoming. We’ll cover the basics of safety, placement, tension, and body awareness so you can step into rope with confidence, clarity, and a stronger sense of agency.
Whether you’re brand new to rope or looking to better understand your own body’s signals, this class will help you build a vocabulary for talking about your experience and a framework for recognizing what feels sustainable (and what doesn’t).
You Should Know:
• No prior rope experience required
• All bodies and identities welcome
• Useful for those who want to tie and those who want to be tied
You Should Bring:
• Comfortable clothing you can move in
• Curiosity and a willingness to listen to your body
• (Optional) A notebook for capturing your observations
• (Optional) A tying partner - all exercises can be done solo or partnered
goodmosttimes AKA Melissa (she/her) started her rope education, as a bottom, in late 2011. She has since been expanding her knowledge as a switch and loves to share new techniques from both sides of a tie. Fortunate to be based in Los Angeles, CA, she has happily been part of the Devil Mask Society since its inception in 2012. She is now one of the owners and lead instructors at Devil Mask Studio in Downtown Los Angeles alongside her romantic and business partners, Ordinals and Ojipan.
