Going to the Mat with the We-Vibe 3

The new We-Vibe 3 is 40% stronger than its famous predecessor. Can you handle the difference? We asked web department heavyweight Lillian to wrestle with this question. She got in the ring with the We-Vibe 3 and emerged victorious…

I was very excited to get to try out the We-Vibe 3. I plugged the handy charger/case right in once I got home so that in 24 hours, I could take it for a test drive. The charging station is one of my favorite things about this product—I can carry it in my purse without the toy banging around and collecting lint, and it even has a spot for the remote control! The toy itself is beautifully designed and made of top-notch materials. I give it top marks in overall presentation and storage design.

For me at least, the We-Vibe 3 is not a hands-free toy. My G-Spot is closer to the vaginal opening than average (about ¾ of an inch in, compared to 2-3 inches in), so inserting the toy fully misses my G-Spot almost entirely. I need to hold it to keep the G-Spot end in place. The external end is much stronger than that of its predecessor, and once I started using my hand to vary the pressure against my clit, the sensation really improved. Grinding against my pillow, comforter or partner with it in was even better, although I still had to keep a hand on the toy to keep it from falling out. I ended up grinding so violently that I broke the bed (the third one I’ve broken this way), which, though definitely a sign of a good time, is something I try to avoid.

As far as dual stimulation is concerned, nothing is going to knock the Pure Wand and Form 2 combo out of 1^st place for me. The We-Vibe 3 probably isn’t going to make it into my regular rotation of masturbation tools, but it’s a great addition to frottage and I definitely look forward to wearing it under my harness during my next pegging session.

Scenes from AVN

The Pleasure Chest went to Las Vegas last weekend for the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo and Awards. We were nominated for Best Retail Boutique. And while we lost to the very worthy Good Vibrations, a few of us were big winners at the blackjack tables.

Another big winner at the awards was Kandi Burruss, who won the AVN prize for Best Overall Toy Line for Bedroom Kandi, her line made in partnership with OhMiBod. Kandi will be in our LA store on Sunday to discuss the toys and give a workshop with some of her favorite sex tips. The event is open to everyone, but seating is first come, first served.

While in Las Vegas, we also spent two days shooting video interviews with toy makers and sex educators, explaining their products and giving their favorite tips and funniest stories from working in the adult industry. Look for those videos to start hitting our How To page in the next few weeks!

We devoted the rest of our time to strolling the convention floor checking out new products. Our gallery above includes some of the oddest sights and most unusual items we saw.

Kandi Burruss Party & Workshop in LA
